What we are doing on Sunday
Wake Up!
Have you ever longed for some peace and quiet? It's great to have that once in a while, but it is also good to remember that the most peaceful place in the world is the graveyard.
As we begin this year, we are looking at some subjects that are guaranteed to wake us up. We are looking at our vision, that special something that makes us want to get up in the morning and face a new day. We want to rediscover the reason we exist.
With that in mind, Oak Ridge will be studying the seven values that make up our vision--to "glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." These are
1. Worship that is vital, original, and exciting.
2. Bible study aimed at greater comprehension.
3. Getting in Christian community in small groups.
4. Making sharing our faith a way of life.
5. Honoring God through stewardship.
6. Reaching needs of other in our community.
7. Participating in changing the world through mission.
Each week. we'll add a challenge to the value for that week. This will help you make concrete your commitment to each value.
Here are the one so far.
1. Find new ways of practicing worship in your private and family life.
2. Study three books of the Bible this year until we can say we really know them.
4. Get together with others in a small group community

How it all began
On Wednesday night at 6:30, we have been studying the earliest record of the church--the book of Act. Acts tells the beginnings of the story of what the Holy Spirit is doing in the church--and is still doing today.
